Nisreen Salti is an Associate Professor and Chair of Economics at the Department of Economics, American University of Beirut, Lebanon. Prior to this position she was a research assitant and a lecturer at Princeton University. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Masters in Public Affairs (Economic Policy) from Princeton University. Her areas of research include microeconomic analysis of healthcare, health inequality measurement, political economy of development and Tobacco control. She has published in peer reviewed journals including the Lancet, the Journal of Economic Studies, the International Journal of Development and Conflict, Journal of Institutional and Theoretical Economics, Social Science & Medicine and the International Journal for Equity in Health.
